Our youth ministry exists to invite students and families into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. In all of our ministries we aim to make our teachings to be: biblical, challenging, and pertinent.
Let's be honest.... this page is a work in progress right now! Thank you for your patience. We are working on updating all of our new opportuneness on this page! Check back soon and more will be here! God's blessings! Schedule a walkie-talkie below though! You should do that.

Young People Community Groups
Starting the week of May 4th we will be launching our first Christ Lutheran Young People Community Groups! These groups are open to all high school and college-aged people (15-23). Even though we cannot be together physically we can still take time to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus but within community! These groups are here so that you can do just that. Our goal is that you find joy, comfort, encouragement, love and support through consistent engagement with your Community Group and the material presented each week. The time spent together will look differently depending on the mentor who leads the group, but basic launching point of each week's discussion will be the content presented in our Sunday Young People videos found on our new YouTube channel, Christ Lutheran Young People. By being apart of a Community Group in this ministry you will foster relationships with your peers, the mentors leading the groups, and with the group as a whole itself, but most importantly we want you to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
The groups are set based on each person's availability and are set over as long as the participants availability stays the same or the request a group change. Yes 15-23 is a big age gap, so yes our groups will be divided up by an age appropriateness factor, however we see value in a high school senior potentially being in the same Community Group as a few college-aged people from time to time. So, it won't straight down the high school-college line, but it will be close!

One of my favorite things about what I get to do as a Youth Director is getting to know and listening to our students. As we practice social-distancing it's hard to meet in person, but if you are feeling like you need to talk, or get something off your chest schedule a FaceTime Walkie-Talkie by using the scheduling options below. If none of the times work and you want to set up another time contact me directly at [email protected].
Confirmation is the affirmation of ones Baptism. It is an amazing opportunity for our young people since many were baptized at an age where they had no input on the manner. Confirmation serves as the baptized rite to affirm their baptism. Basically, they look back on the day they were baptized and say "yes!" to the promises God makes in baptism and responds with their own commitments to that covenantal relationship. Here at CLC in order to be confirmed we ask that students 8th through 12th grade complete our "Basics of Faith" course ran in the Fall of each year. Basics of Faith is our membership course, but for confirmation students there will be a separate class ran side by side with the Adult class. It is only four weeks, but in the four weeks we will cover: Who is God, What is the Bible? What do we believe? And how do we live and follow Jesus today. After the completion of this course the class will be confirmed on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday of October.
This year's retreats have been canceled due to the spread of COVID-19. Refunds will be offered to all who paid to attend this year's High School Retreat
