Business Administrator Position


TITLE: BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

PART-TIME POSITION: 20 HOURS PER WEEK, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

Summary: Responsible for all financial and treasury functions of the church specifically ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of processes, risk mitigation and controls related to donations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, loan payments and structure, and reporting budgetary compliance to council.  Responsible for contract review and approval.  Responsible for all staff IT needs.  Assist with Human Resources responsibilities.  

Key Responsibilities - Finance

  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • recruit/oversee counters
  • payroll and benefit management
  • oversee loans and investments
  • assist council in yearly budget development
  • furnish monthly reports to council and staff, attend council meetings when requested
  • prepare and present annual report to congregation
  • negotiate financial contracts
  • manage insurance policies and coverage
  • record member contributions and issue quarterly contribution statements
  • assign giving envelopes
  • prepare and contract for periodic audit of CLC financial records

Key Responsibilities – Database 

  • Maintain and update myCLC database
  • Provide training and support to staff and congregation on use of myCLC

Key Responsibilities – Information Technology

  • Evaluate and purchase computer hardware and software for staff
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate technical support from outside sources

Key Responsibilities – Human Resources

  • Provide administrative support to Senior Pastor regarding Human Resources 
  • Maintain secure paper and online files for each employee
  • Ensure compliance with Mandated Reporter training, Live Scan, etc.  

Accountability and Reporting

  • Reports to Senior Pastor with an annual review conducted by Senior Pastor.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting
  • Prepare monthly reports to council and an annual report to the congregation
  • Subject to provisions of the Personnel Manual
