This year we will return to Black Mesa, AZ to serve alongside our partners at Experience Mission with Pastor JR and House of Joy church (Tse Ee Gai) on the Navajo reservation. We will step into a region where Christians are often disdained for their faith but where churches across the Navajo Reservation are striving to honor God in the midst of poverty, addiction, and other challenges. Our team will have a truly unique, cross-culture experience as we spend time on “The Rez” and listen to stories from the Navajo who continue to live on the land of their ancestors, proudly maintaining their native language and traditions. We will offer assistance in home maintenance and build projects also build relationships, worship, and enjoy our time living within another culture.

How to Register
To register for the the trip pay attention to the trip calendar for due dates and deadlines to complete the following three steps. The buttons below will link you to correct webpages to complete the registration process.
First register for the trip by clicking the button above. This will take you to the Experience Mission registration page. The Team ID if needed is 3296. Once you fill this out move on to the next steps: Mission Partner Form and paying the registration fee through Christ Lutheran. The deadline for registering is May 9, 2018, one month before the trip. If you know you are going on the trip, register as soon as you can to reserve your spot!
A part of our raising support for this trip are two Sunday's in the spring called "Mission Partner Sundays". These Sundays are to bring awareness of the trip to the Christ Lutheran congregation. The congregation will be given the opportunity to pray for and help support our missionaries therefore we need everyone to fill out the profile form by clicking the button above. This form is due by March 27, 2019.
The cost per participant is $435.00. This is the cost our partner organization Experience Mission charges. Click the button above to pay online, select "HS Mission Trip" in the designation dropdown. The rest of the cost is picked up through donations, Easter Breakfast, and Mission Partner Sundays. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot due on March 27, 2019 along with the Mission Partner form. If you are not able to cover the full cost please refer to our scholarships below. Those that would like to set up payment plan over the year email Steven directly.
Scholarships are available for those who may not be able to cover the full cost. We do ask for some level of contribution from each participant. If you are in need of a scholarship please prayerfully consider how much you could contribute. We ask this so that every participant has offered something financially whether it be $20 or the full cost. Our scholarships come through congregational support from Easter Breakfast and our Mission Endowment, therefore we require all scholarship recipients to participate in the Easter Breakfast and write a 250 word essay that will be seen by our Mission Endowment team.
