New Sermon Series for Advent
Advent Begins This Sunday
"The celebration of Advent is possible only to those who are troubled in soul, who know themselves to be poor and imperfect, and who look forward to something greater to come."
Generally, the noun advent is used for the introduction of something important. The twentieth century saw the advent of many important inventions — including television, computers, and microwave dinners. In the Church, the season of Advent is a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas. Perhaps this year, more than most, the concept of expectant waiting for a light to shine in the darkness has never been more vivid. We are having to sacrifice being with our family and friends in the HOPE that, next year, we will all be able to be together again.
Please join us from wherever you are next Sunday when CLC will begin a new sermon series for Advent.
