Starting next Wednesday, April 14th, and going through Wednesday, May 12th, the Kitchen Team will be serving dinner from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Our first night back will feature Pastor Garrett on the grill, making BBQ hamburgers and hot-dogs. (Is there a seminary class for that?!) Our world-renowned Kitchen Team (okay, maybe just SCV-renowned…at this point) will also be making all the sides and joining in the fun.
For each of the five weeks, small-groups and classes will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude by 7:00 p.m. The Nursery will be open for newborns up through 36 months. Children from preschool through 2nd grade will be in the Children’s Center, and 3rd through 6th graders will be in Room 11 (right next to the Children’s Center) for “God’s Good Creation.” Confirmation students (7th and 8th grade) will be in the Youth Center for “Visible Words: How the Sacraments Communicate the Goodness of God.” Parents will be in the Sanctuary for “The Tech-Wise Family,” a discussion of the book by Andy Crouch.
Also available on Wednesdays will be a book-discussion of “Liturgy of the Ordinary,” led by Karen Nelson in the Fellowship Center, as well as “The Wittenberg Group – A Discussion of Lutheran Theology,” led by Felicity Grover in Room 7.
