Confirmation is the affirmation of one’s baptism.  Young people look back on the day they were baptized and say "yes" to the promises God makes in baptism and respond with their own commitment to that covenantal relationship. On Wednesday nights confirmands learn all about what it means to follow Jesus and what we believe as Christians.

A Christlike Life

This fall Pastor Garrett is leading our confirmands through a study of the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount while exploring what the life of being Christian looks like.

God of Deliverance; Young Women Fall 2021; Book cover image of God of Deliverance by Jen Wilken

The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer.

In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Exodus 1–18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God.

The Common Rule; Young Men's Fall 2021; Book cover image of The Common Rule by Justin Whitmel Earley

The modern world is a machine of a thousand invisible habits, forming us into anxious, busy, and depressed people.

The answer to our contemporary chaos is to practice a rule of life that aligns our habits to our beliefs. The Common Rule offers four daily and four weekly habits, designed to help us create new routines and transform frazzled days into lives of love for God and neighbor. Justin Earley provides concrete, doable practices, such as a daily hour of phoneless presence or a weekly conversation with a friend.

Growing With; Parents of Teens and Young Adults Fall 2021; Book cover image of Growing With by Kara Powell and Steven Argue

One day they seem content to hang out with you. The next, they’re too busy. And even if they weren’t busy, you aren’t sure they would want to.

Filled with brand-new research and real-life stories from remarkable families, Growing With shows you how to close the family gap, giving parents courage to take the next faithful step on a mutual journey of intentional growth that trusts God to transform you all. Discover strategies to help you invite doubt, rather than avoid it. Growing With will show you how to help your kids keep their roots, even as they spread their wings.

Adult Bible Study; Genesis 1-12; Fall 2021

Our adult Bible study is for any adult looking for a simple Bible study.

This fall Paul Priesz will lead the group through a study of Genesis 1-12. The book of Genesis covers the beginnings; the beginning of the world and humanity, and the beginning of humanity’s sin and rebellion. What’s greater is that in these beginnings we see how God makes a promise that ultimately finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Come study Genesis with us!
