Family

Connect your family to God's family

These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Family Ministry desires for parents and children of all ages to grow deeper in their relationship with God by connecting new families to the church, nurturing a community that supports and encourages one another, and equipping parents with the tools to disciple their children in the faith.

We host many events throughout the year, but the highlight is the Annual Family Retreat. Each September, we get away for a weekend at the Ventura Ranch KOA Campground to enjoy fellowship, praise, activities, shared meals, and of course, a campfire and s’mores!

Due to COVID-19, many of  the Family Ministry's in-person gatherings and events are suspended or modified until further notice. Please check back here for events and updates.

Midweek Family Ministry Night

Join us Wednesday nights from September 16 - October 28 for our Family Ministry Night.

Dinner will be available from 5:00-6:00pm catered by Nealie's Skillet. Meals will be individually prepackaged for a nominal cost.

From 6:00-7:00pm, we'll have activities for the whole family. Pastor Garrett will lead parents through a study entitled The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This group will meet outside in the breezeway between the Sanctuary and the Fellowship Center.

While parents meet, the kids 3 years old through 6th grade can participate in Kampers of the Kingdom in the Fellowship Center backyard. Activities each week include music, a Bible Story, and an object lesson or craft. All LA County Department of Public Health guidelines will be strictly followed.

We'll have car trunks full of treats that are physically distanced, and hosted by our friendly CLC community members. If you would like to host a trunk you can register below!

Make sure that you wear your costumes and your mask, and invite your friends! It will be a fun evening and we hope you join us.
